Job Purpose Summary
Through effective management lead a technical team that specialise in print related data
management. Proactively own and develop customer relationships through successful
implementation of all technical related projects. Mentor and develop the team to drive quality,
best practice and efficiencies at all times.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Drive, support, develop and grow the skills of the technical team.
- Control the business technical function.
- Advise and design solutions to meet customer and business needs to maximise
throughput, minimise customer costs, and maximise business revenue.
- Communicate directly with new and existing customers on development tasks.
- Prioritise new and existing jobs to ensure target dates and SLA’s are met.
- Pro-actively communicate within internal departments.
- Manage quotations for technical development ensuring accurate cost to clients.
- Drive continuous improvement.
- Understand departmental monthly budget requirements and report against these.
- Establish and maintain good quality practices and controls, ensuring ISO procedures
and standards are met.
Mandatory Requirements
- Experience of managing a team
- Thorough understanding of data, data formats, manipulation tools and techniques.
- Understanding of the document composition process, and the typical tools and techniques employed preferred.
- Experience of Printsoft PReS software preferred.
- Own transport
